DevOps Engineer (Front-end focus) (f/m/d)

Airteam is a SaaS startup that offers an AI-powered data processing cloud platform specifically for roofers and solar planners. Powered by our product, our customers can turn simple drone data into actionable 3D models and measurement reports.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our international, motivated and passionate Team.

Tasks

• Infrastructure Ownership and Maintenance: Manage and maintain our infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to ensure scalable, reliable, and efficient systems.
• Security Management: Take charge of comprehensive security protocols including access controls, user and role management, VPN configurations, and cloud security setups. Ensure the integrity and security of data and infrastructure by implementing best practices and cutting-edge solutions.
• Cost Optimization: Continuously analyze, plan, and implement strategies to optimize and reduce operational costs associated with cloud services and resources. Monitor performance metrics and make adjustments to achieve cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
• Software Development: Develop and maintain scripts and applications in Python, particularly for orchestrating workflows via Argo and managing infrastructure tasks. You will create tools and automate processes to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in managing and deploying services on GCP.
• Terraform: Expertise in using Terraform for implementing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across multiple environments.
• Kubernetes (k8s): Strong understanding of Kubernetes ecosystems for managing containerized applications, including deployments, monitoring, and scaling.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Argo Workflows/Argo CD: Experience with Argo tools for managing Kubernetes workflows and continuous deployment is highly beneficial.
• Security Best Practices: Knowledge of cloud security rules, protocols, and best practices, especially in a GCP environment.
• Cost Management: Experience with tools and strategies for cloud cost management and optimization.
• Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for automation of deployment, scaling, and other infrastructure operations.
• Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
