  • Akkuracy is working on becoming Germany’s leader in understanding battery safety. We do not want to be the next high-throughput test lab, but rather excel at high-quality cell and small-scale testing, to maximise understanding of the cell. To achieve this, we conduct regular abuse tests, as well as specialised calorimetry tests in our purpose-built setup.
    Right now, we are growing our team and are looking for you to join us! As part of Akkuracy you will work in a dynamic and friendly environment, where you ensure that tests run on time and in quality. Your tasks will include running tests and analysing data, as well as being part of setting up the lab infrastructure, as the team grows in the coming months.
    At this stage we are very flexible with regards to the exact details of this role, as we have several positions we want to fill!

    Tasks

    • You perform testing of customer batteries, including planning with the test partner, set up in the test rig, test execution, and data analysis
    • You develop, prepare, and maintain thermal runaway tests rigs for battery abuse tests and develop the tools to make testing faster and more efficient
    • You are part of setting up our laboratory and work on ad-hoc tasks that come up in a young company

    Requirements

    • BSc, MSc or PhD in engineering or science, or a technical background with at least two years of relevant work experience
    • Previous experience with battery (safety) testing and battery lab environments
    • Interest in battery technology and motivation to work hands-on
    • Ability to communicate well in English, German is a plus
