Tasks
You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing entire projects
end to end, from idea to launch. To do so, you will work closely with product, sales, the founders, and (of course) customers.
Your tasks will include building out the core Alpha Sophia Software-as-a-Service
(SaaS) healthcare platform, solving problems such as…
- Design and implement new data sources, insights, and signals into the
automatic data loads as well as the SaaS platform - Maintain and improve our massive data cube, consisting of hundreds of
millions of rows of diverse data sources from healthcare providers and
organizations - Develop and manage web crawlers to extract unstructured public data into
a useful format - Build sophisticated CRM features into the platform to guide our customer’s
marketing and sales journey - Design and implement a machine learning-based recommendation engine
to help our customers identify the right healthcare providers and
organizations - Build integrations into other market leading tools (e.g. Salesforce,
HubSpot, Slack) to increase the value proposition of our platform - Build a scalable and stable infrastructure in the cloud that can support
hundreds of thousands of requests each month - Build security features to keep our customers’ data and healthcare
provider data safe - Work on our user interface that is used by our many B2B customers and
their users every month - Help define the foundation for Alpha Sophia engineering standards,
tooling, and processes
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience
- Experience with our tech stack
○ React/Typescript on the frontend
○ Node/Typescript on the backend - As a plus, experience with
○ Next.js (React framework)
○ MongoDB/NoSQL and Snowflake/SQL on the database side
○ Amazon Web Services (cloud platform) - A passion for writing clean, maintainable, and performant code
- A builder mindset — you ship MVPs that are not always perfect and iterate
over time based on internal quality testing and user feedback - A strong sense of ownership and the ability to independently make good
decisions for our users and the business - A holistic approach, comfortably shipping features end-to-end, from
defining the product specifications to deploying to production
