    As a Senior Cloud Solution Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in consulting with customers across SMBs, Enterprises, and Public Sector organizations to understand their business and operational challenges. You will translate these challenges into tailored technical solutions while ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory requirements and operational constraints. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, stakeholder management, and customer-facing experience, with a strong emphasis on AWS or GCP platforms.

    Tasks

    1. Consultation and Solution Design:

    • Engage with European SMBs, Enterprises, and Public Sector organizations to understand their business challenges, regulatory needs, and operational objectives.
    • Design cloud-based solutions addressing pain points while ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance requirements, and technical constraints.
    • Tailor solutions for Public Sector customers, addressing unique compliance, sovereignty, and procurement needs.
    • Collaborate with customers to validate solutions and refine approaches based on feedback.

    2. Technical Expertise:

    • Lead technical discussions and workshops with clients, demonstrating deep knowledge of AWS or GCP ecosystems.
    • Build proof-of-concept (PoC) environments to validate solution designs.
    • Provide hands-on support during solution implementation, migrations, and optimizations.

    3. Compliance and Governance:

    • Ensure solutions adhere to industry regulations and compliance standards, including GDPR, sovereignty requirements, and Public Sector-specific mandates.
    • Partner with internal teams to implement robust governance frameworks for customers.
    • Address Public Sector-specific challenges such as Sovereign Cloud requirements and procurement frameworks.

    4. Stakeholder Management:

    • Act as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders, bridging the gap between technical and business teams.
    • Effectively communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, including Public Sector decision-makers.

    5. Collaboration and Travel:

    • Work closely with internal Ankercloud teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
    • Travel to customer locations within the EU as needed to provide on-site consultation and support.

    Requirements

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • A minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud solution engineering, architecture, or related roles with demonstrated expertise in AWS or GCP ecosystems.
    • Strong hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, with certifications at a Professional or Specialty level (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
    • Proven experience consulting and designing cloud solutions for European SMBs, Enterprises, and/or Public Sector organizations.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate business and operational challenges into scalable, compliant technical solutions.
    • Expertise in cloud architecture, networking, security, and data management.
    • Familiarity with Public Sector-specific compliance frameworks and operational requirements.
    • Strong customer-facing experience, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Business fluency in English.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Proficiency in German.
    • Familiarity with EU-specific Public Sector compliance mandates (e.g., Sovereign Cloud, procurement frameworks).
    • Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment with Public Sector organizations.

    Other Requirements:

    • Valid EU work permit and residency.
    • Willingness to travel to customer locations within the EU as required.
