    Your mission as a Data Engineer

    We are excited to welcome a Data Engineer to our data team at Appinio! You'll help us elevate our data warehouse and infrastructure, making a big impact across the entire company. We're looking for someone enthusiastic and full of ideas to develop our business and data culture.

    What you'll be doing

    • Design, develop, and optimise ETL pipelines using DBT to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
    • Create and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable API integrations to support data ingestion from external sources.
    • Write, optimise, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and transformation.
    • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality data solutions.
    • Monitor, maintain, and improve data quality and performance of data pipelines.
    • Develop and implement best practices for data management, including data security, data governance, and data integration.
    • Document data workflows, processes, and system architecture to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering and analytics.

    You will thrive in this role if you have

    • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on DBT and advanced SQL.
    • Expertise in building and maintaining ETL pipelines using DBT.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
    • Experience in creating and managing API integrations.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
    • Knowledge of Tableau or similar reporting and analytics tools is preferable.
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
    • Experience with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
