  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a (Senior) Frontend Engineer with extensive SEO experience and a passion for SEO as a whole. You will join an acquisition-focused team dedicated to optimising our web presences of our core brand and verticals for SEO Traffic and conversion. This team works closely with SEO Specialists/Managers and Content Editors to achieve these goals.

    • As (Senior) Frontend Engineer you are part of an agile, cross-functional team and play an active role in the continuous improvement of the user experience and conversion of traffic
    • You collaborate closely with the Product Manager, UX Designer, SEO Managers, and Content Editors to implement SEO best practices into our web experience
    • You optimise code for performance, ensuring fast load times and responsive design across devices
    • Conduct technical SEO audits and address issues such as crawl errors, broken links, accessibility, and site speed
    • You utilize lean and iterative methods for optimal results, with ambitious quality objectives, and facilitate the entire process from concept development to go live.
    • You understand yourself as a mentor who empowers colleagues through methods of mutual learning and engages early in the concept phase
    • You stay on top of the latest development trends, especially around SEO best practices, and set new impulses in the functional and technical expansion of existing web applications, thereby driving innovation as well as the further development of the tech department

    Skills

    • As a Frontend Engineer, you can prove extensive experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6), and are proficient in React.js, Next.js, and other modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries
    • You are passionate about search engine optimization and bring significant experience in this field, including solid familiarity with SEO tools and SEO technical analysis  like Core Web Vitals and sitemap generation
    • You challenge the status quo and you’re not afraid to propose new and simplified solutions to existing problems and you have a strong getting-things-done mindset
    • You strive to improve, whether this is about the code, the team, or yourself, and therefore communicate as well as collaborate proactively
    • You are an absolute team player, like to share your knowledge and experience with others, and appreciate an open feedback culture
    • You have strong communication as well as collaboration skills with a high degree of ownership and combine these with your excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Ideally, you also have experience in integrating CMS solutions, page builders, and caching systems into the workflows
