As Senior Functional Safety Engineer (m/w/d), you will be responsible for driving Quality and Continuous Improvement across Asaphus Vision.
Tasks
- Quality Management Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards;
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance product quality and efficiency;
- Audits and Assessments: Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations;
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality processes, procedures, and audit findings;
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members on quality standards and best practices;
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to product quality and cybersecurity;
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and operations, to ensure quality objectives are met;
- ASPICE Compliance: Ensure software development processes adhere to ASPICE (Automotive SPICE) standards, conducting regular assessments and audits;
- ISO 21434 Compliance: Lead efforts to integrate ISO 21434 (Road Vehicles – Cybersecurity Engineering) standards into our product development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software/Electronics/Systems engineering and demonstrated equivalent industry experience of a minimum 5 years;
- A passion for driving the adoption of quality processes;
- Commercial experience in defining quality assurance processes and procedures for the entire product development lifecycle e.g. for hardware and software – from innovation, concept, product development, maintenance and field monitoring
- experience leading QA audits of automotive product development teams
- experience in defining and implementing QA competence management plans and QA training plans;
- Commercial experience, training, and working knowledge in ISO 9001 and preferrably ASPICE, PPAP, ISO/TS16949, and ISO26262;
Able to discussions with Quality and Reliability professionals at Automotive Tier 1’s and OEMs;
Commercial work experience in Quality Assurance within Automotive, Aviation, or other relevant regulated industries; - Experience as a Product Engineer will be an advantage;
- Passion for driving the adoption of quality processes across the organization and representing the customer views;
Experience in conducting internal audits of automotive product development teams; - Experience in the Quality Engineering field;
- Ability to work effectively in a team and respond cooperatively to the requirements of other company members;
- Ability to understand and manage customer expectations and work with the Seeing Machines internal team to meet requirements;
- Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for continuous improvement;
- Ability and desire to continuously learn new skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to champion ideas and achieve consensus within a team;
- Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines;
- Ability to operate and plan in a rapidly changing environment;
- Proven ability to provide leadership, coaching and guidance to team members to meet demanding project and customer goals.
