    About this role: 

    We are looking for an experienced and passionate Engineering Manager for the MarTech Team with a proficient NodeJS knowledge to lead and empower a team of talented engineers. You will oversee a team of engineers and their code that powers our fast-growing business while also contributing to and developing processes. 


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide architectural and technical leadership to a cross functional team of engineers
    • Lead and mentor the team, providing technical guidance and career development support
    • Work with a product owner to help the team break down requirements into manageable tasks
    • Collaborate with CRM and Marketing stakeholders to ensure that any provided tools or functionalities meet their business requirements
    • Conduct code and architectural reviews to ensure high standards of code quality and maintainability
    • Ensure that application performance and scalability are consistently upheld with each release to handle data for millions of users effectively 
    • Ensure proper documentation of all processes, codebases, and systems
    • Encourage continuous learning, knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team
    • Strengthen the team's composition by hiring new members as needed

    Your Profile: 

    • You have prior experience managing a small, agile team of senior engineers
    • You have always stayed hands-on and you bring at least 5 years of experience with NodeJs or other server-side technologies (Python, Java, etc)
    • You have a deep understanding of advanced, state-of-the-art architectures and patterns for managing large volumes of real-time events, including microservice and event-driven design (SNS, SQS and EventBridge)
    • While your primary expertise lies in backend development, you're also comfortable leading a team that at times handles frontend tasks, such as building responsive UIs for landing pages and email templates
    • Knowledge of non-relational (DynamoDB) and relational data storages (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
    • A self-motivated individual with a passion for learning new technologies, dedicated to driving teams toward excellence and ownership in areas such as test automation, monitoring, alerting, and IaC (Terraform)
    • Experience with Agile, DevOps  and web security best practices
    • Experience with any of the cloud computing platforms, ideally AWS and some of its services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS)
    • Experience with containerization and Docker (Kubernetes experience is welcome)
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline implementation and management (GitLab CI/CD)
    • Experience with recruitment and conducting interviews
    • Experience with CRM tools (Braze, Blueshift, Salesforce) and Google Analytics is a plus
    • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
