We are seeking a Senior Google Cloud Platform Architect with expertise in .NET and Python to lead the cloud architecture design for a mission-critical flight data digitalization project. This initiative is part of a long-term (5-10 years) aviation technology transformation aimed at optimizing data-driven operations within the industry.

You will be part of a specialized Platform Team (SREs, DevOps, Security & Solution Engineers, FinOps), designing scalable and secure cloud solutions for processing and analyzing large-scale flight operations data. The role requires deep architectural expertise in GCP, strong experience in data processing, and the ability to shape next-generation cloud solutions for aviation.

Tasks

Architect and design enterprise-scale cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for aviation data processing and analytics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SRE, DevOps, Security, Solution Engineers, FinOps) to implement cloud best practices, security policies, and cost-optimization strategies.
Design and develop cloud-native applications using .NET and Python to support real-time flight data analysis, automation, and digital transformation.
Implement highly scalable, resilient cloud architectures with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
Ensure compliance with aviation data security standards and optimize cloud governance frameworks.
Drive automation, CI/CD, and DevOps adoption in cloud environments.
Research and implement emerging GCP technologies to enhance data efficiency, security, and scalability.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect, with proven expertise in designing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Strong knowledge of .NET and Python for cloud-based application development.
Deep experience with cloud-native architecture, microservices, and event-driven systems.
Proficiency in GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, IAM, etc.).
Strong background in cloud security best practices, compliance, and access management.
Experience in container orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE, Docker).
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Experience in the aviation, transportation, or logistics industry.
Knowledge of big data analytics or machine learning in a cloud environment.
German language skills (a plus but not required).
