  • The building sector is responsible for 40 percent of CO2 emissions in Germany, making it the largest contributor. Moreover, we spend most of our time indoors, which gives us all the more reason to operate buildings in a way that keeps people at the center, both now and in the long term. As a young PropTech startup, we are committed to exactly this goal: to operate buildings in an automated, reliable, and sustainable manner. With our intelligent building control system, we are on the path to achieving a climate-neutral building stock by 2045.

As a Working Student Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d), you will work closely with top experts, gaining invaluable hands-on experience with our robust infrastructure and cutting-edge product. You'll have the opportunity to deepen your skills by working with the latest technologies in cloud computing, container orchestration, and automation, contributing to a product that is revolutionizing the industry.

    What You’ll Work On:

    • Accelerate the reliable deployment of Machine Learning models and software components using DevOps practices.
    • Implement infrastructure best practices, including observability, CI/CD, and GitOps.
    • Manage infrastructure on Azure, leveraging cloud services to optimize performance and scalability.
    • Utilize container orchestration with Kubernetes for efficient deployment and management of applications.
    • Implement observability solutions using Prometheus and Grafana to monitor system performance and health.
    • Manage CI/CD pipelines with GitLab to streamline development workflows.
    • Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, specifically using Crossplane, to automate infrastructure provisioning.
    • Collaborate with a small, autonomous team in a remote, asynchronous work environment to ensure seamless integration and continuous delivery.

    Who We’re Looking For:

    • You’re in your 5th semester or higher in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Informatics or a related field.
    • Proficiency in git and Docker is essential.
    • Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code is a plus.
    • You have hands-on experience or significant interest in the technologies mentioned, demonstrated through self-initiated projects or practical work. (Links to relevant GitHub repositories or other demonstrable projects are required—see application requirements.)
    • You’re proactive, highly organized, and thrive in a remote, asynchronous work culture.
    • You’re driven to push boundaries and set new standards in infrastructure and DevOps.

    Why baind AG:

    • Your Impact: Join us in transforming the building sector, responsible for 40% of Germany’s CO₂ emissions, and drive toward a climate-neutral future by 2045.
    • Your Chance: Become one of the first team members in our infrastructure team, taking on opportunities to grow with a high-impact startup that just closed a successful seed round and is ready to take off with you.
    • Competitive Pay: Starting at 21 €/h, with the potential for a raise after six months based on performance.
    • Flexible Work Environment: Remote work preferred; enjoy an asynchronous work culture and benefit from flexible hours.
    • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a Wellpass membership with access to over 10,000 sports and wellness facilities across Germany.
    • Autonomy: Be part of a small team with a high level of autonomy, where your contributions make a real difference.

    Application Requirements:

Due to the high number of applications, we only consider candidates who provide demonstrable hands-on experience with the relevant technologies. This can include links to substantial, self-initiated projects (e.g., on GitHub or similar platforms). If the link is included in your CV, that’s perfectly fine. Other formats to showcase your work are also acceptable, as long as the project is clearly documented and provides meaningful insight into your skills.

Please note: Our application system only allows for one document upload. If you wish to submit multiple documents, please merge them into a single file before uploading.

We are looking forward to your application!
