    Our client, a leading and fast-growing Corporate Finance/M&A advisor in the DACH region, advises its clients (companies, shareholders and financial investors) on the implementation of strategic objectives in the field of Corporate Finance/M&A.

    As part of further growth, our client is looking for a highly qualified Managing Director, responsible for the sector “Software & IT Services”. This role offers an opportunity for the ideal candidate to leverage our clients’ expanding firm to establish an M&A practice in the sector "Software & IT Services" in an effective and responsible manner.

    Ultimately, the Managing Director will focus on developing new and existing client relationships, leading challenging and complex engagements within a collaborative team environment as well as ensuring all aspects of engagements are delivered with the highest quality standards and impact.

    This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the software and IT landscape and strong expertise in deal management, technical implementation and excellent relationship skills.

    This is a leadership position that will make substantial contributions to overall firm growth.

    Tasks

    • Lead the execution of all work streams required to close transactions for mid-market companies in the sector „Software & IT Services“.
    • Drive technical delivery excellence by overseeing financial modelling, due diligence, and transaction execution.
    • Negotiating, documenting and supporting the execution of transactions.
    • Coaching junior team members in their professional development.
    • Sharing and managing best practices and leading internal training where required.
    • Leading business development efforts while maintaining close relationships with existing clients.
    • Supporting talent acquisition and business development.
    • Contribute to the creation of a high-performance and inclusive culture.
    • Identify, develop and pitch financial advisory opportunities and position our client as the pre-eminent independent corporate finance advisor in the software space.

    Requirements

    • At least ten years of relevant deal experience in the sector „Software & IT Services“.
    • Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving alignment.
    • Strong deal management and technical execution skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to structure, execute and successfully close related mandates.
    • Strong deal origination, business development and client relationship skills.
    • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
