As a Climate FinTech, we at Bees & Bears believe that capital is the key to accelerating the energy transition. The challenge we face is enormous: by 2050, €150 trillion (!) must be invested worldwide to achieve climate neutrality. 65% of these investments need to be financed through loans.
We have recently secured a €500 million financing line, which we will now use to expand renewable energy! Our mission is to channel this capital into the sustainable economy to accelerate the transformation and make the world greener. We work closely with installers of green hardware such as energy storage systems, solar panels, and heat pumps to enable their customers to pay a small monthly fee instead of investing tens of thousands of euros upfront.

Tasks
We are looking for a highly ambitious individual to join the cockpit of Bees & Bears Risk & Finance team at an absolutely exciting time.
- Work closely with our Head of Risk Carlo (former VP Risk & Data at lending unicorn Grover) and our Co-Founder Jakob.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build in a high-growth and high-pace environment.
- Work both on B2C and B2B underwriting, continuously enhancing our credit risk management strategies.
- Underwrite individual cases and customers, analyzing balance sheets, statements, and applying tailored credit risk assessments.
- Deal with our constantly increasing cashflows and payment management.
- Support in automating and standardizing credit risk management, reporting, and financial processes.
- Build and implement ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting frameworks.
- Prevent fraud, money laundering, and defaults, constantly improving measurement and prevention techniques by working very diligently and efficient.
- Monitor and manage risks and operations with our partners and state of the art tech tools.
Requirements
- Working experience or studies in the field of Banking, Finance, Data, Accounting, or Consulting.
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies.
- You feel very comfortable with Excel and similar tools
- Python, Javascript, and/or SQL knowledge are a plus.
- Startup experience is a plus, ideally in Fintech or Lending companies.
- Fluent in English; German proficiency is a significant plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach, taking strong responsibility and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills, effectively conveying complex information, and highly motivated with a keen eagerness to continuously learn and adapt.
- You are passionate about sustainability and motivated to combat the climate crisis.
