    • Your mission

    Full-time position, office location either Berlin, Germany or Graz, Austria

    As a senior software engineer at BigRep you will be part of the diverse and highly motivated slicer development team. Slicing software is the essential link between the ideas of our customers and the building of the real parts on our machines. Help us to develop new (geometric) algorithms, unleash the power of our hardware and set new standards in speed, quality, and features. 

    Responsibilities include:  

    • Design/implement/test software features in the area of the slicing software in C++ and Python
    • Manage the overall software architecture: a Conan package system built using Gitlab CI / CD.
    • Manage a small technical team of developers and 3D printing experts
    • Work closely with a experts from other teams, such as embedded software engineers, material scientists and testers to find the best solution for complex problems
    • Integrate feedback from materials, mechanical, and QA/testing teams into the slicing software
    • Ability to develop user interface features, particularly with the Qt framework

    Your profile

    ​

    • Masters / diploma in computer science or equivalent professional experience (6 years +)  
    • Experience in the languages C++ (17 or newer), Python and the PyQt framework
    • Experience in CI CD as well as package managers
    • Experience in delivering products in real-world small-team agile scenarios
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work cross-functionally
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver results
    Additional skills that would be nice to have:  
    • Experience in computational geometry, algorithm-heavy fields
    • Experience in 3D printing processes and tools
    • Experience with CAD, CAM development and tools
    • German language skills
