About the Role
As a Software Engineer on our Payments team, you'll play a pivotal role in building and scaling our core systems. You'll be part of a dynamic and empowered engineering team, working on challenging and impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, Develop, and Deliver: as well test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software solutions for our payments platform.
- Drive Innovation: continuously improve our systems through smart refactoring, new features, and architectural enhancements.
- Mentor and Collaborate: mentor junior engineers, share knowledge with other teams, and actively participate in code reviews.
- Champion Best Practices: develop and implement robust CI/CD pipelines and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
- Take Ownership: be a self-starter, drive initiatives from conception to completion, and take ownership of your work.
Who You Are
- A Passionate Engineer: You have 7+ years of strong PHP development experience in large-scale, high-availability production systems.
- A Framework Expert: You're proficient in Symfony or similar frameworks and possess a deep understanding of software architecture and design principles.
- A Versatile Technologist: You have experience with a variety of technologies, including JVM-based languages, and a strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-based environments.
- A Product-Driven Mindset: You thrive in a product-driven environment and have a solid grasp of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and its practical application.
- A Team Player: You excel in collaborative environments, embracing practices like TDD, mobbing, and pair programming.
- A Strong Communicator: You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and can effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
