We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer who has a product mindset and is not afraid to go outside of their comfort zone! You'll have the freedom to make impactful changes and collaborate with a supportive team to tackle complex topics and balancing quick delivery with low tech debt. Your contributions will be crucial in enhancing our app's user experience and driving frontend implementations forward, ensuring our product continually improves and evolves.

Why do we need this role?
In short, we need more Frontend power to really drive our product forward. There is a lot of room for improvements in our app and a need to optimize the usage of it. With this, you will work on delivering features in a timely manner, take part in estimations as well as scoping down the features and keeping regression low.

If you have a great idea, you’ll be able to start implementing it without the need to go through a whole process. You are free to improve things you notice, an outdated library? No one will stop you updating it. Legacy code you think you can refactor? Go for it!
• Our Frontend Chapter is also an amazing community in which you can learn a lot, discuss improvements or share ideas. They will also have your back, so if you’re stuck, you can count on your team that they would be willing to help, no matter how complex the issue 

• Firstly, some issues with performance you will be faced with are definitely challenging, finding these issues would require deep research, but with this comes learning as you’ll be able to investigate some intricacies of how React works!

• Another challenge is that you’ll need to be able to deliver fast, all while keeping the tech debt small. You need to think about the product first and not only about shipping perfect code, while the code may not be perfect, it still adds significant value. This doesn’t mean ship low-quality code, but more so having the ability to make responsible conclusions without sacrificing quality. The priority is product and delivery.

What would be achieved over 6 months?
Within 6 months you would have become a key and valued Frontend team member, taking ownership and driving Frontend implementations forward. You would have shared knowledge, in your team and the Frontend chapter. You would collaborate closely with multiple team members, especially Product Design to support in improving the User Experience of our app, whilst also proposing best practices for keeping the UI easy to maintain and extend.
