Strategy & Implementation:
- Drive and shape the agile product development culture, fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence
- Collaborate closely with the Product Leadership team to continuously refine and enhance agile team structures, ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy
- Serve as the voice of the Software Engineering unit within the Leadership team, ensuring transparency, alignment, and fostering strong cross-departmental collaboration
Leadership:
- Oversee a diverse team of more than 20 software engineers, covering areas such as frontend, backend, security, architecture, and infrastructure
- Build and manage leadership structures within the engineering unit that enable further scaling of our organisation
- Set clear goals, values and expectations for our engineering competence, drive recruitment efforts to attract top talent, and manage the unit’s budget to support growth and innovation
- Act as a mentor and coach, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, enabling your unit members to reach their highest potential
Processes & Tools:
- Champion value flow, continuous delivery, and fast feedback loops to ensure efficiency and high-quality outputs
- Work closely with the engineering unit to refine development practices, uphold quality standards, and cultivate a culture of technical excellence
- Hold the engineering unit accountable for adhering to established standards and practices, driving continuous improvement
Your profile
- You have at least six years of successful experience managing and scaling diverse teams in agile organisations
- You bring a strong track record in recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent
- You have a proven ability to mentor and motivate software engineers working in cross-functional agile teams
- You have gained your relevant experience in scale-up companies that offer cloud-based products
- You know how to manage transformation processes methodically and routinely
- You have significant experience as a software engineer, with a deep understanding of software design practices, architecture, agile principles, and DevOps best practices
- You speak English fluently and your German is at least on a B2 level
