We’re a fast-moving tech startup based in Mainz, Germany, building smart tech that thrives on data (and powered by a bit of startup chaos 😄), rooted in the foundry industry, with a mission to transform the procurement and production of castings through automated processes, offering castings, 3D-sand printing, and engineering services. Established in November 2023, we're expanding our team to enhance our data analysis team. We believe in smart solutions, lean processes, and creating real impact through clean code and user-first products.
We’re looking for a motivated Data Scientist to join us in building and improving our automated Data Pipelines to get instant Insights about our Operations form the business data.
Tasks
- Dive into datasets, explore trends, and build models that help drive decisions
- Work on real-world machine learning problems like prediction, classification, or clustering
- Help us set up and run small experiments or A/B tests
- Clean, transform, and validate datasets (yup, data wrangling is part of the deal)
- Contribute to improving our data pipeline and internal automation and data tools
- Collaborate with our dev and product teams to put your work into action
- Occasionally write or tweak bash scripts to automate workflows or handle data on our Linux-based systems
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
- Solid skills in Statistics and Python and willing to use Excel (if really required)
- Basic experience with SQL and working with databases
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude
- Curious, proactive, and eager to grow in a fast-paced startup environment
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
