CBAM Estimator is an innovative start-up that helps companies navigate the new requirements of the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). Our mission is to promote sustainability in international trade through smart software solutions while simplifying CO₂ emissions reporting and emissions trading. Aufgaben

As a working student in Frontend Development, you will work closely with our development team and founders, gaining valuable insights into the exciting technical challenges of a start-up. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the development,and optimization of our CBAM software solution, particularly in frontend design and functionality.
Independently managing projects, such as the implementation of new features or improving the user experience (UX).
Analyzing requirements and creating technical concepts for further platform development.
Assisting in the integration of new tools and technologies into our existing systems.
Supporting bug analysis and resolution (debugging) as well as enhancing the performance of our applications.
Collaborating directly with the founders and developers to create innovative technical solutions and strategies.

This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic start-up environment and contribute actively to the development of an innovative software solution.

Qualifikation

Your Profile:

You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field at a university or technical institution.
Experience in frontend and backend development with skills in the following areas:

Frontend Development:

Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
Familiarity with responsive design frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
Understanding of UX/UI principles and ability to create intuitive user interfaces.

Backend Development:

Knowledge of PHP or Python and SQL.
Experience with server architecture, API development, and database management.

Other Skills:

Proficiency in Python.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
You have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, self-reliant working style.
You demonstrate a keen interest in sustainability, emissions trading, and climate-related regulations.
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is a plus.
You have a high willingness to learn and can quickly adapt to new topics and challenges.
