Your profile
You will
- Oversee the overall QA strategy, process improvements, and quality frameworks for Circunomics' software products.
- Develop, manage and mentor our existing team of QA, fostering growth and technical excellence.
- Define, implement, and monitor key quality metrics and performance indicators.
- Oversee test planning, execution, and defect management across multiple projects and platforms.
- Collaborate with software development, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Drive the adoption of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to enhance testing efficiency and reliability.
- Proactively identify and address potential quality risks and bottlenecks.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software quality assurance.
- Taking responsibility for release ownership, focusing on stability, quality, and achieving the release goals. You have
- Experience: Over 5 years of experience in QA, preferably with leading a QA team or managing QA processes
- QA Methodologies and Tools: In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes, with expertise in TDD and BDD practices.
- Metrics and Reporting: Experience in collecting and presenting transparent metrics, including test coverage, to ensure high-quality standards.
- Test Automation: Proficiency in automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools, and scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, or PHP.
- CI/CD : Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Agile Expertise: Extensive experience working in Scrum teams and a deep understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
- Software Testing Lifecycle: Comprehensive knowledge of the software testing lifecycle, from planning to execution and reporting.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs.
Bonus
- Sustainability Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with battery lifecycle management or sustainability topics is a bonus.

About Us
Circunomics GmbH, based in Mainz, Germany was founded in 2019. Circunomics is leading the industry by offering a comprehensive battery lifecycle management solution. Co-Founders, Felix Wagner and Jan Born, are dedicated to establishing a true circular battery economy, which in turn, maximizes each stage of battery life. Along with their team, they seek to inspire the movement of batteries from the automotive industry, to the energy sector, and finally on to recyclers who close the loop by recovering any remaining raw materials.
Circunomics has developed an AI-powered, B2B marketplace where cells, modules, and packs can be sold and purchased. Through the Circunomics Analytics product, sellers and buyers alike can obtain a detailed view of their assets. From current SoH to 2nd-life simulation, this product allows for a simpler and more profitable lifecycle management. Circunomics knows that lifecycle planning is complex, and the Battery Matchmakers are on a mission to help ease this process for their customers.
The company has been supported thus far by seed investors and business angels. Startup builder Next Mobility Labs, recycler TES, Orlen VC, and Dr. Peter Mertens (former Chief Technology Officer of Audi) are some of the key players. The Series A funding round was completed in December of 2024 with the addition of investors, Schaeffler and GET Fund.
Official expansion into the US Market transpired in January of 2025 with the hiring of Adam Willmouth who will serve as the company's US Managing Director. Circunomics looks forward to further collaboration with current US clients and to further growth within this key global market.
