Position Summary:
The Programs Officer will support the program management unit to contribute to program implementation activities including project activity identification and implementation, developing concept notes for identified activities, maintaining direct communications with identified partners and field staff, providing technical guidance to the partners and field staff in terms of implementation of the community policing and community engagement activities, and reporting requirements, project reporting, and monitoring and evaluation.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist the program management in drafting concept notes, activity sheets, budgets, and activity amendments, updating implementation progress and closing activities upon completion.
• Coordinate with the field staff and partners on concept notes development, activity sheets preparation, updating implementation process and closing activities upon completion.
• Facilitate the translation of the key documents developed based on the discussions with the local governance, policing and community partners that support FURAT program agenda.
• Track progress against the activities work plan to meet program targets and individual activity deliverables.
• With management team, work collaboratively with identified partners to develop activity work plans, budgets, and communications plans to effectively inform and include all relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the weekly reports, highlights, success stories, lessons learned, and challenges and any other reporting as needed by the program.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• University-level education or demonstrated equivalence in professional experience/ability.
• Two years minimum experience in implementation of humanitarian, development and/or stabilization programs or relevant project management experience.
• Experience working with community-based organizations and/or community mobilization around social and humanitarian issues.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to manage high volume workflow.
• Proven ability to work on a team in a collaborative manner.
• Proven ability to take initiative and think creatively about how to support a community in taking control of and addressing issues.
• Arabic native speaker skill and strong English language skill are required.
• Relevant computer usage and software skills.
