Tasks

Short-term: Skill Development and Mastery

You develop effective, scalable code, design and implement backend components to improve responsiveness and overall performance, and conduct thorough testing and debugging for robust functionality.
You incorporate ML-models into the feature development to advance product capabilities and enhance the functionality of existing systems through innovative enhancements.

Mid-term: Increased ownership and Specialization

Identify and specialize in a niche area that aligns with DNL’s goals and personal interests.
Propose and lead a significant project or initiative that adds value to DNL.
Contribute to the development and design of REST APIs and real-time socket-based messaging systems, optimize the existing codebase, implement robust security measures, and assess feature requests for strategic development prioritization.

Long-term: Leadership and Strategic Influence

Play a strategic role in product development, influencing the choice of technology and architecture.
Develop strong business acumen to align technological solutions with business goals.
You take a mentoring role to elevate team knowledge, leading code reviews, establishing guidelines, and offering input on architecture and scaling.

Requirements

Educational Background and Experience: You hold a BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field and showcase more than 4 years of proven experience as a Python Backend Developer.
Framework Knowledge: You have expertise in constructing microservices with frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or others. You are proficient in Python test suites, particularly pytest, and capable of independently developing unit, integration, and system tests.
Technical Proficiency: You are proficient in CI/CD and cloud deployment, ideally with Azure and Kubernetes.Bonus points if you have experience with machine learning or a strong theoretical foundation. Preferably you have extensive experience in designing, scaling, debugging, and optimizing microservices and event-driven systems.
