    Tasks

    As a Specialist Electrode Developer (m/f/d) at CMBlu, you will lead the development, optimization, and quality assurance of bipolar electrodes for flow batteries. You will take on a pivotal role with a high level of expertise and responsibility, shaping the future of our electrode technology.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development of advanced bipolar electrodes that meet and exceed product specifications.
    • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including stack, membrane, and module hydraulics, ensuring fully integrated development processes.
    • Optimize electrode materials and designs to significantly improve power output, durability, and cost efficiency.
    • Drive continuous enhancement of electrode production and overall stack manufacturing processes.
    • Take ownership of project management for electrode development, ensuring alignment with company goals and milestones.
    • Monitor and analyze electrode performance, identifying deviations and implementing corrective measures.
    • Lead the identification and implementation of key optimization parameters for production and performance.
    • Develop and refine advanced methodologies to ensure the quality and longevity of electrodes.
    • Liaise with laboratory operations, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards.
    • Provide detailed documentation of all development processes, optimizations, and project outcomes.
    • Prepare comprehensive, high-level reports on electrode performance, project progress, and future development strategies.

    Requirements

    • At least 5 years of professional experience in a relevant field, such as batteries, electrode technology, or advanced materials.
    • Deep expertise in batteries, especially flow batteries, or in materials such as plastics/polymers.
    • Strongly preferred: Experience with catalysts and their integration into battery systems.
    • Extensive knowledge of electrochemistry and materials science.
    • In-depth understanding of electrode materials, design principles, and performance optimization.
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation.
    • Advanced project management expertise, with a track record of managing complex technical projects.
    • Strong documentation and reporting skills, with attention to technical detail.
    • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to drive collaboration across diverse teams.
    • Very good English language skills, both spoken and written, German language skills are an advantage
