Automation and Functional Safety Engineer (m/f/d)

Tasks

• Lead project coordination and manage projects related to the expansion and modification of chemical production facilities.
• Execute complex project work independently, focusing on electrical, measurement and control technology (EMSR) and automation.
• Participate in and contribute to safety assessments (e.g., HAZOPs) for plant safety.
• Implement SIL (Safety Integrity Level) requirements in measurement and control systems.
• Act as a technical expert in both internal and external committees, such as NAMUR.
• Continuously develop and update internal technical standards, contributing to innovation and optimisation projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Energy Technology, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in chemical production plants, refineries, paper industries, or similar environments.
• Strong interest in tackling complex, interdisciplinary projects.
• Excellent team player with strong communication skills, motivation, and a proactive approach.
• Fluency in German is essential; knowledge of English is a plus.
