(Senior) Business Intelligence Consultant*

YOUR NEW ENVIRONMENT:

In our Data Product team we solve data-related challenges by designing & building end-to-end advanced analytical solutions, including infrastructure, analyses & visualisations, based on a deep understanding of our clients' businesses and needs. As a Business Intelligence Consultant, you will focus on creating value for our clients by advising on and building data models, analyses and dashboards, while contributing to the development of the Data Product team and our service portfolio.

Tasks

WHAT AWAITS YOU:

• You work on projects with Data Engineers, Data Scientists & Business Intelligence Consultants to provide reliable decision support systems for our clients.
• You advise on and work with standard as well as modern data tech stack depending on the client's needs and ambitions across various industries.
• You proactively take responsibility to advise on and build data models, analysis and visualisations for our analytical projects and take over tasks like the definition of analysis and the development of dashboard concepts.
• You will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of analyses, reports and dashboards, always ensuring their data validity and usability for stakeholders.
• You will also be responsible for maintaining and developing our analytical projects in a scalable and sustainable fashion - e.g., optimising the performance of the dashboards or metric layer in the data warehouse.
• Our Data Product team is growing and you will take on a mentor role in the team, help to shape team structure and artifacts, while also driving the further development of our tool stack to be future proof.

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG:

• You have 2+ years experience with PowerBI or other BI tools (such as Tableau, Metabase, JS/Python libraries or Veezoo).
• You have 2+ years hands-on experience with writing analytical SQL queries in a performant and maintainable fashion. Python knowledge is a plus.
• You have interest in driving BI topics and being a sparring partner and/or mentor to other team members.
• You have experience with managing and developing clients relationships, and with translating business requirements into analyses (e.g. offline/online workshops).
• You are able to manage multiple concurrent engagements and feel like proactively taking care of your own areas of responsibility.
• Within the team and when working together on organization-wide topics, we communicate in English - therefore, oral and written communication should be easy for you. Fluent German is a plus.
