    What would you do ?

    As a Electro-Mechanic Engineer (f/d/m) you will contribute to the product development and scaling of a high-performance and safety related embedded system for autonomous and teleoperation-based yard trucking. You are at the cutting edge of the development of our products and shaping the future of logistics.

    Leave your footprint by:

    • contributing to the complete product life cycle from rapid prototyping to large fleet usage of the Fernride system: high performance, safety compute, sensors, power supply and harness design, housing, cooling & heating, mechanical components like brackets and holders.
    • influencing the architecture and design of current and future system generations enabling us to scale the product with vehicle OEMs across diverse customer deployment demands. Ensuring the system meets the performance, reliability, availability and safety requirements for autonomy and teleoperation.
    • supporting in selecting and steering external partners and suppliers for parts like compute units, sensors, etc.
    • defining and implement best practices and processes incl. testing methodologies as well as quality assurance and management to ensure a robust and efficient system design.
    • executing the test and qualification of all components as well as the integrated system-of-systems towards machine directive and CE on the one hand and making sure all parts of the system are fulfilling the technical requirements for teleoperation and autonomy on the other hand.
    • collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including autonomy, operations and product managers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

    What you will bring to the team?

    • Proven track of record of successfully contributing to the complete product lifecycle incl. development of complex system-of-systems consisting of electric, electronics and mechanical parts.
    • Proven track of record of working successfully as electro-mechanical design engineer for several years.
    • Development according to regulatory requirements and standards like: machine directive, automotive standards like ISO26262, CE, etc. including the required QM-Systems.
    • Experience with high-performance compute environments, sensors like lidar, camera and radar, communication techniques like CAN, Ethernet, LVDS, etc
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
