(Junior) Software Engineer (m/f/d) - Team API

We're looking for a motivated and driven (Junior) Software Engineer (m/f/d) who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success.

We are the API Guardians at FlixMobility Tech and take care of the API Management Platform that we provide to our internal developers.

We are continuously in touch with all developers that either provide or consume our APIs and we are experienced in development and operations of APIs and clients.

We work in an agile way using the SCRUM framework and have a constant process of reflecting on our current work, and adapting new practices and technologies.

Our daily work is built on trust and collaboration.

When things get complicated, we trust each other's loyalty, commitment and decisiveness.

Your Tasks – Paint the world green

• Work in a self-organized team, which takes care of the overall quality and availability of our APIs
• Guide teams providing and consuming APIs
• Analyze, propose and drive technology improvements
• Willing to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
• Design, plan, and implement services/integrations from scratch."You build it, you run it you own it."
• Write clean and comprehensive code.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization.
• Act as a team player that is not working in a silo but creates collective ownership and learning opportunities.
• Apply automation and follow company best practices standards.

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

• Understand and have experience with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI
• We use JavaScript and Java as programming languages but experience with any other language is fine
• We use tools like Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes (k8s), AWS, GitLab (CI), Postman – all the high-end industry standards!
• Infrastructure-as-code is a term you are familiar with but isn't a hard requirement
• Experience with, or willingness to learn React or any other frontend frameworks are welcomed
• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant industry experience
• Writing clean, solid, and tested code is your passion
• Experience in development of RESTful APIs
• Proficient in configurations using JSON or YAML
• Good technical communication skills on business level
• Very good command of English
