We're looking for a motivated and driven Middle level (PHP, Node.js) engineer to join our Team Ancillaries in either Berlin or Munich.

Your Tasks – Paint the world green
- You will be part of our cross-functional, self-organized team providing an easy, engaging, enjoyable experience for all our customers.
- You develop and maintain our large, distributed environment.
- You write solid, maintainable, scalable, testable and tested code and supervise it through all the deployment steps.
- You analyze, propose and drive technological improvements.
- You support our agile, flexible, team-oriented development.
Your Profile – Ready to hop on board
- Experience with PHP is required as well as expertise in at least one framework, such as Symfony, or a similar industry-standard framework.
- Experience with Node.js is a plus, as some of our services are built using it
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or 3+ years of industry experience
- Good understanding of system design, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with data storage (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)
- Knowledge of unit testing (especially PHPUnit, Jest)
- Familiarity with CI/CD best practices
- API design experience
- Fluent in English
Nice to have – Willingness to grow in/learn:
- Docker, Kubernetes
- AWS Services
- Kotlin
- Typescript, React.js
- Experience in high-concurrency and high-availability environments
- IaC (Terraform)
