We are looking for an experienced Head of Software Engineering to lead the development of our biocompound discovery platform. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THE FIRST FEW MONTHS

You have set and executed the engineering strategy, aligning it with Mycolever’s overall mission and business objectives.
You have led the development and enhancement of our cloud-based biocompound discovery platform, integrating cutting-edge AI and machine learning techniques to innovate and optimize our product offerings.
You have built and managed a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You have effectively collaborated with cross-functional teams, including biologists, chemists, and data scientists, to ensure that engineering efforts are aligned with scientific discoveries and customer needs.
You have implemented best practices in software development, data management, and security, ensuring scalability, reliability, and user-friendliness of the platform.
You have driven the integration of multi-omics data and deep learning techniques to expand our understanding of fungal chemistry and accelerate discovery.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Strong track record in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within a fast-paced startup or biotech environment.
Proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams, with strong leadership and mentorship skills.
Expertise in developing complex B2B software and services in an agile environment, with proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++.
Deep knowledge of cloud technologies (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) and experience with modern software development tools (Jira, Confluence, GitHub/GitLab).
Strong experience with AI/ML techniques, data engineering, and knowledge graph development, including tools like Neo4j.
Ability to drive innovation by staying ahead of trends in bioinformatics, AI, and data science.
Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proven ability to balance short-term goals with long-term vision.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to leadership, with a focus on fostering a dynamic and inclusive engineering culture.
