Engineering Manager (m/f/d)

Awareness and the pressure of high energy costs are greater than ever, but the path to a carbon-neutral home is complex, expensive, and long. We make it possible with personalised renovation concepts, optimal financing and project support. With a digital approach – for as many people as possible.

Tasks

• Engaging Builder – You help recruit the best talents to digitize the energy consulting experience by developing a self-service platform that leverages the expertise of our energy specialists. Your efforts contribute to customer-centric products which help achieving our goals
• Coach & Mentor – You promote team cohesion, but also manage to develop the team members on an individual level and keep the team motivated (currently 4 Senior Engineers, 1 Data Science Specialist)
• Strategy Lead – You empower and support the team, fostering a collaborative environment where innovative ideas and data thrive. You connect with stakeholders like our Head of Product and COO to unblock dependencies, provide visibility and transparency to team progress on product initiatives

Requirements

• Leadership Experience – You have already proven yourself as Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or similar position in a fast-growing environment and managed to successfully develop and motivate your employees through mentoring and coaching
• Technical Footprint – You don't have to be an expert in our stack, but do have significant experience (Ruby & Rails, TypeScript & React, Cloud Infrastructure) and keep the quality high
• Comprehensive Skill Set – You have a strong technical acumen supporting project planning with the ability to identify bottlenecks and execute complex technology initiatives, and you bring along excellent communication skills (fluency in English, German is a plus)
• Team Player – You are empathetic and manage to strengthen the team with your committed and goal-oriented manner
