Future Energy Ventures is looking for an ambitious Investment Analyst (all genders) to join our Team in Berlin.

Future Energy Ventures is a unique venture capital platform with offices in Berlin, Essen, Palo Alto, and Tel Aviv, and it brings together investors, corporate partners, and start-ups to shape the future energy landscape. We specialize in early-stage Series A and Series B funding-round investments in startups whose climate-tech solutions contribute to making the energy sector and the industries adjacent to net zero.

Aufgaben

Support the portfolio and financial management of the organization as well as the preparation of respective reports.
Draft detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis and assessments to support decision-making processes.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
Conduct market research and identify the most interesting players in a certain industry space.
Support the financial and commercial analysis and due diligence.
Analyze financial reports, support partners in reviewing advisory board information, review investment agreements, and support the mapping of potential new investors and exit channels.
Prepare financial models to evaluate investment returns, P&L, cash flows, and capital requirements.
Build a network with peers in relevant markets and industries.
Prepare presentations (PPT) to support key operational objectives.
Participate in relevant events and conferences.
Stay up to date regarding startup and VC news, deal flow, M&A activity, etc.
Help to select business tools (IT, market intelligence, etc.) aimed at increasing team productivity.

Qualifikation

Bachelor’s degree in economics, with a focus on finance, auditing, valuations, or related fields.
Working experience in one of the top auditing firms, preferably with a focus on financial valuation and auditing.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
Enthusiasm for business models and understanding of capital markets.
Commercial mindset with attention to detail and analytical competence.
Excel skills.
Meets deadlines, shows initiative, and is taking on responsibility.
Problem-solving mindset.
A good understanding of the venture capital and private equity sector or a similar financial sector is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills in both English and German, both written and verbal.
