Tasks

As a Young Talent in Engineering at getML, you will have the opportunity to dive deep into our cutting-edge machine learning suite and contribute to solving significant challenges in predictive AI. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Product Development: Join one of our product teams to help regularly and reliably deliver value to our users in various industries, including finance, manufacturing, and healthcare.
• User-Centric Approach: Understand our users' unique situations and how getML can create value for them, even without prior industry experience.
• Technical Skill Enhancement: Gain expertise in our diverse tech stack, including Python, C++, and Golang, with a focus on backend development.
• Enhancing Developer Experience: Work closely with our team to ensure that our product is intuitive and well-documented, contributing to example datasets, documentation updates, and tutorials.
• Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in our agile processes, including retrospectives, daily stand-ups, and other team meetings to drive efficient development.
• Continuous Learning: Dive into the world of machine learning and relational learning, continuously striving to learn and push yourself and our team forward.

You will be treated as a regular member of our team and get to enjoy the full responsibility of shipping features end-to-end, from the first brainstorming to shipping it to production.

Our past interns have gone on to work for large tech companies, start their own startups, or (our favorite 😇) - join us full-time.

Requirements

At getML, we value passion, creativity, and the willingness to grow more than a specific set of qualifications. However, here are some attributes that would help you thrive in this role:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python. Familiarity with C++ or Golang is a plus.
• Strong interest in machine learning and data science, with a willingness to dive deep into these areas.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks, while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
• Strong communication skills in English. German language skills (B1 or above) are beneficial but not required.

💰 Compensation: We want to offer compensation that aligns with industry standards. To maintain a transparent and fair approach to compensation, the salary ranges for all positions are determined based on market benchmarks and a comprehensive leveling framework.

For this role, Leipzig based salary ranges from 2.200€ to 2.500€ p.m., depending on the leveling we’ll establish with you throughout the hiring process and based on a 40-hour work week.
