Now we’re scaling our platform team and are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the initiative at an early stage. This is a great chance for an experienced engineer to influence and shape technology, processes and culture. Your impact will be fundamental for a secure, reliable and cost effective cloud platform that delights multiple product squads and enables them to deliver outstanding customer experiences at a high pace. As InsurTech scale-up, we face challenging security and compliance requirements alongside high needs for flexibility and delivery performance, making this a fruitful opportunity to level up in your craft.

Your role in a team:

Drive platform engineering culture by designing secure, reliable and highly usable solutions with a keen eye on developer needs.
Deliver platform components and foster adoption, spanning observability, continuous delivery and infrastructure automation.
Ensure business relevant platform properties such as availability, scalability and performance.
Foster standardization and best practices by fluently collaborating with engineers and providing them mentorship and tools.
Influence the platform technology roadmap with well-founded reasoning, crisp decisions and strong advocacy.

What you need to be successful:

Structured approach to work with a high level of independence and responsibility.
Passionate and knowledgeable about platform engineering approaches.
Ability to iterate towards a bigger picture while keeping attention to details.
Remarkable verbal and written communication, open and highly collaborative attitude.
Experience working with agile product teams in a dynamic environment.
Proven ability to design and build automation setups from scratch.
Advanced experience with AWS, Docker and Terraform.
Experience with diverse platform technology stacks, including cloud provisioning, containerization, observability, CI/CD.
Experience with managing production platforms for distributed applications.
Experience working within a regulated industry is a plus (e. g. FinTech, InsurTech, Health).
Past experience in software engineering is a plus.
