What can you expect from the Security Team?

As a working student in gridX’s security team, you will help us work towards our ultimate goal of embedding security within gridX processes in accordance with the industry’s security standards.

The position is to be filled for 15-20 hours/week starting September 1.

• As a Working student Security Engineer, you would help implement security tools that help the team automate a lot of its work and processes. You might have to delve into codebases to perform code reviews and attempt to identify potential security flaws.
• Additionally, you will help with configuring and operating our monitoring platforms (e.g., SIEM), triage alerts/vulnerabilities they report, and enhance their detection capabilities.
• You will be given the opportunity to research the market for tools and platforms that help the security team achieve their goals more efficiently

This is how you and your application stand out

• You are a senior B.Sc. student (minimum 4th semester) in informatics or a M.Sc. student in informatics
• We are looking for a working student with technical skills in software engineering development and first experience in Python and/ or Go/ Golang
• You are still enrolled with your university for at least 1 year
• You gained first experience from your studies/ working experience with web security threats such as SQLi, XSS, or SSRF
• You already have your first experiences with cloud computing technologies, such as AWS technologies/ Kubernetes/ Docker
• Previous experience working within the security industry is a big plus
