Heylama AI is a language school in your pocket. Heylama is on a mission to build the most effective way to learn languages online. We want to become as effective as top-notch language courses while being up to 50x more affordable.
Tasks
- work closely with the CEO/CPO and the engineering team to design a delightful product experience for learners and tutors
- run user research and look at data to make informed decisions (but you also know when to rely on your experience and instincts to move fast)
- make sure that design is not an operational bottleneck
- always focus on elevating our product decisions via research, new ideas, or challenging the status quo
- you’ll spend ~10% of your time helping the CEO with branding and marketing.
- you are open-minded and embrace experimentation and creative problem-solving.
Requirements
- Our mission resonates with you. For real.
- You are hands-on and fast in everything product design – from research to prototyping to delivering pixel-perfect design. We work in Figma.
- You’re strong in UI design and have a solid understanding of UX.
- You are business-minded and understand that everything we do is to enable the company strategy and vision. Design is a way to achieve business goals by solving customer problems.
- You embrace the sense of ownership and startup mindset → we never say, “this is not my area of responsibility”.
- You know how to run usability tests and feel comfortable talking to the end users
- You're proficient in English.
