As a Compliance Monitoring Officer, you will play a key role in protecting the bank’s reputation, fostering a culture of compliance, and driving improvements in risk management practices.
Aufgaben
- Independently plan, execute, and report on assigned monitoring reviews, focusing on regulatory compliance and financial crime topics, within designated deadlines.
- Prepare clear, concise, and re-performable working papers and reports in adherence to the Bank’s Monitoring Policy and Procedures.
- Ensure the factual accuracy and quality of all outputs, including findings, management information, and ad hoc tasks.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, contributing to a deeper understanding of the Bank's risk and control landscape.
- Present findings to stakeholders and agree on actionable, SMART remediation plans.
- Draft monitoring issues, risk statements, root cause analyses, and actions independently.
- Proactively follow up on identified issues, escalating overdue actions and extension requests promptly.
- Conduct first-level reviews of working papers and draft reports prepared by junior colleagues.
- Support the EU Head of Monitoring & Surveillance with periodic reviews of monitoring procedures and governance documentation.
- Assist in drafting the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP) and quarterly updates.
- Take ownership of monthly Monitoring Management Information preparation and provide input at team meetings and inter-office collaborations.
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory compliance developments through relevant training and seminars.
- Monitor changes in the Bank’s products, activities, and regulations to assess potential impacts on risks and reviews.
- Deputize for the EU Head of Monitoring & Surveillance during meetings and support senior Compliance team members with ad hoc requests and project work.
Qualifikation
- Proven experience in the financial sector, with a background in Compliance or Audit.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry expectations, and financial crime risks in banking.
- Solid grasp of risk and control frameworks and their practical application.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines.
- Professional skepticism, an inquisitive mindset, and tenacity in achieving results.
- Innovative problem-solving skills with a logical approach.

- University degree, banking apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification.
