We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our client, an international financial institution as a Deputy MLRO. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in enhancing and maintaining the bank’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) framework in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Tasks

Support the MLRO in developing, implementing, and monitoring the bank's AML and CTF policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic advice on AML/CTF risks.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to relevant authorities.
Oversee customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and transaction monitoring processes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a strong compliance culture and deliver AML/CTF training across the organization.
Stay updated on regulatory developments and ensure the bank’s compliance framework aligns with German and EU regulations.
Act as a point of contact for regulators and law enforcement agencies.
Assist in internal audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring the effective closure of findings.
Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and the board on AML/CTF matters.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
several years of experience in AML/CTF, preferably in a deputy MLRO role within the banking sector.
Strong knowledge of German AML laws, EU directives, and global sanctions regimes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Effective communication and leadership abilities, with fluency in German and English.
