We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Compliance to lead the compliance and anti-financial crime functions for a financial services institution operating across Europe. This is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring regulatory adherence, fostering a strong risk culture, and driving compliance innovation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Aufgaben
- Oversee the compliance framework for European operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, with a focus on markets and corporate compliance, AML, anti-terrorist financing, and sanctions.
- Monitor and assess regulatory developments in key markets, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
- Cultivate strong relationships with regulatory authorities, managing all communications, audits, and inquiries.
- Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to evolving regulatory landscapes.
- Provide expert guidance to internal teams on compliance and anti-financial crime matters, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Lead compliance risk assessments and implement effective controls, fostering a proactive risk culture throughout the organization.
- Represent the compliance function in both internal and external committees, ensuring a robust presence and strategic input.
- Manage regulatory audits and coordinate remediation activities while delivering comprehensive management information to stakeholders.
Qualifikation
- Extensive professional experience in compliance, with a focus on capital markets and financial crime prevention.
- In-depth knowledge of European regulatory environments, particularly in Germany.Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
- Bilingual proficiency in German and English is essential.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
