    Employment type: working student 20 hours/week

    We are seeking a motivated and diligent working student with a background in Accounting (or similar qualification) with a focus on debtor management to join our team. The successful candidate will support the receivable management (incl. debtor account reconciliation, bank account reconciliation, timely collection of outstanding debts, and related tasks). They will be the first point of contact for debt collection partners and regularly exchange with internal Key Account Managers to work on revenue collection. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and communication skills.

    Tasks

    How you are part of our success story:

    Debtor Management

    • You ensure timely and accurate completion of crucial tasks such as creation of invoices, credit notes, and payment reminders
    • You perform debtor account & bank reconciliation as well as month’s end reconciliation
    • You investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to invoicing and payments
    • You do a regular hand-over of overdue invoices to debt collection agencies and subsequent communication with relevant stakeholders
    • You maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts receivables using software such as Salesforce
    • You prepare reports, summaries and next-best-action analyses on a regular basis
    • You support the team on other processes (creditor management, payment runs, etc.)
    • You contact clients via email or phone to facilitate timely payment of invoices

    Communication and Collaboration

    • You liaise with internal stakeholders such as sales, operations, and management to ensure accurate and timely invoice issuing and revenue collection
    • You coordinate with external parties including debt collection agencies, clients, suppliers, and financial institutions as needed
    • You provide financial guidance and support to other departments as required

    Requirements

    What you need to convince us:

    • You are studying Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • You are business fluent in English and German
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
    • You are a motivated team player who is eager to join Homelike’s journey
    • Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office or Salesforce is a plus
