Your Role

As a FEM Simulation Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for project-related FEM analyses, making a key contribution to the development of efficient and reliable solar tracking systems. In this role, you will work on international utility-scale projects, actively contribute to the advancement of our solutions in the field of Agri-Photovoltaics, and play a central role in the continuous optimization of our tracker systems.

Tasks

Performing project-related linear and nonlinear FEM analyses for solar tracking systems
Developing and validating simulation models for the sizing of components and the entire system
Planning, overseeing, and evaluating mechanical tests on components and connections
Assessing wind, snow, and earthquake loads based on international standards and specific customer requirements
Close collaboration with teams from design, product management, and sales

Requirements

A completed engineering degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a comparable field
Strong knowledge in structural mechanics and structural dynamics
Several years of experience in the use of FEM software, such as Hyperworks, ANSYS, Abaqus, SCIA, or SAP 2000
Strong analytical thinking and solid mathematical understanding
Knowledge of international standards and regulations, such as ASCE or Eurocode, is a plus
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
Team player, with a sense of responsibility and a passion for innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration
