Laboratory Assistant in part time (20 hrs/week) (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

in this position you will be responsible for various laboratory techniques such as cell culture, qPCR and Western blot, but also for standard laboratory processes

• Cell culture of cell lines and primary cancer cells
• RNA extraction, qPCR, Western blot
• Transformation, Miniprep, Maxiprep
• Transfection, Transduction
• Preparation and aliquoting of media and reagents
• Preparation of lab consumables (e.g. coating of cell culture vessels)
• Cleaning and maintenance of laboratory instruments
• Coordination of maintenance for laboratory instruments with service contracts
• Ordering, receiving and inventoring laboratory consumables
• Autoclaving and waste disposal

Our Requirements

• MTA/CTA/BTA training
• Working Experience in a research laboratory
• Experienced in working with cell cultures under sterile conditions (essential)
• Fluent in English and German
• Alternatively this job is also appropriate for a student of biology (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) as a working student position
