Senior Software Engineer - Emerging Leader (Python/TypeScript)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer - Emerging Leader for one of the fastest growing legal tech startups in Germany. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python/Django and/or TypeScript/Vue.js. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions to address complex business issues. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to grow into a leadership position, providing technical guidance and mentorship within the team as you progress.

Tasks

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions using Python/Django and TypeScript/Vue.js.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to functional requirements.
• Debug and optimize existing and new code for maximum speed and scalability.
• Maintain code integrity and organization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.
• Participate in architectural discussions and decision-making processes.
• Assist in project planning and coordination to ensure timely delivery of features.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python/Django and/or TypeScript/Vue.js.
• Proficiency in German (C1/C2) and English.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with databases, web servers, and UI/UX design is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide other developers is highly desirable.
• Interest in growing into a technical leadership role.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
