Your Position
As a Senior System Engineer for Linux & PostgreSQL (m/f/d) you are responsible for the continuous improvement and optimization of our systems and services to ensure high availability, scalability and performance.
With your expertise, you will be responsible for the administration and implementation of our on-premise solutions and ensure their scalability and security.
Your every day work routine
- You will take the lead in the administration and management of our Linux systems, with a special focus on Ubuntu Server.
- Your daily tasks will also focus on maintaining and supporting our PostgreSQL databases and ensure their smooth operation.
- As an expert in load balancing, you configure and operate our HAProxy systems to ensure optimal distribution and availability.
- You monitor the system performance and ensure its continuous optimization using Grafana and Prometheus.
- You are responsible for the administration and optimization of our in-memory databases (Redis) and ensure their efficiency.
- You set standards in the automation and orchestration of IT processes with Ansible and develop innovative automation solutions
Your profile
- Very good knowledge of loadbalancers (HAProxy) and monitoring tools.
- You are experienced in the configuration and administration of Redis and PostgreSQL.
- Confident handling of automation tools such as Ansible.
- Strong analytical thinking and solution-oriented work.
- Previous experience with Rails, Ruby, Puma or Sidekiq are a plus
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills and initiative.
