Your Role
As a Staff DevOps Engineer (d/m/w), you will play a key role in bringing our digital products to our end-users. Together with cross-functional teams, you will lead the design and evolution of our infrastructure, automate deployments and other parts of the software development lifecycle and share your knowledge in the organization. Your expertise will drive our desire for operational excellence and contribute to the delivery of innovative solutions.
What exactly will you do?
- Design & Evolve Our Infrastructure: Collaborate with product teams to plan, configure and maintain a scalable infrastructure that empowers our digital products. You ensure that teams are enabled to build backend services and deploy web and mobile applications with minimal effort.
- Drive Automation & Continuous Delivery: Automate daily development tasks, enabling continuous delivery in teams. You ensure that deployments are running smoothly and provide hands-on support when incidents occur
- Collaborate & Empower Teams: Work together with cross-functional product teams to help them ship and run their services in production and enable them to deploy and release independently.
What you bring
- Background: You have several years of professional experience as DevOps engineer or in backend development with a focus on infrastructure and deployment. In the past you’ve set up new infrastructure, automated deployments, monitored services in production and helped teams to solve incidents.
- Skillset & Qualifications: You have a strong experience with cloud providers (e.g. GCP, AWS) and running backend services or databases in production (we run Node.js services with PostgreSQL and Redis). You are proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, know your way around CI/CD platforms and can leverage them to automate deployments and releases. While your focus is on automating the software development lifecycle, you don’t shy away from development tasks when they require your support.
- Mindset: You are proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented, driven by a passion for solving complex technical challenges. Your strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are complemented by a collaborative approach that thrives in dynamic environments. You take ownership of your projects and are committed to delivering high-quality, maintainable solutions.
