Job Mission: The Senior Airframe Analysis Engineer is in charge of structure analysis (Stress & Fatigue/Damage Tolerance) of an airframe component or work package such as fuselage section, wing sub-assemblies, flight control surfaces within a multifunctional product development team. The role is responsible for the planning and execution of the analysis activities according program development plan and the defined deliverables. Working cross-functionally, together with partners and supply chain, the role requires active communication and effective preparation of analyses for early decision-making. The execution of the structure analysis work will be performed within new digital tools and methods that enable reliable data utilization from all involved functions and over the full product life cycle. The Senior Airframe Analyst must define and implement novel structure analysis processes and ways of working supported by the usage of digital integrated tool chains and digital threads. The role requires high skills concerning verification of design for certification as the role is part of the design organization technical delegation to demonstrate compliance of the design according certification requirements. This is an opportunity to lead and contribute to a pioneering project fostering a culture of collaboration, digitalization, and continuous improvement, shaping the future of sustainable aerospace.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the structural analysis activities according to the program development plan and the defined deliverables.
- Define and implement novel structural analysis methods supported by an integrated digital toolchain, digital workflows and processes, and apply them for airframe component sizing according to the maturity requirements of the program development phases.
- Support design concepts, trade studies and design assessment reviews with effective and lean calculation methods for early decision-making to meet the functional and industrial requirements, and the cost targets.
- Collaborate with loads, aeroelasticity, and testing teams to validate stress analysis through static and dynamic load testing, ensuring compliance with certification requirements.
- Contribute to the implementation of cross-functional digitalization and automation practices within engineering processes, including automation of airframe justification processes, management of analysis and simulation data in PLM, digital workflows and digitally assisted validation and verification.
- Define the structure analysis verification roadmap to ensure the structure design verification test requests are compliant with the applied methods.
- Ensure structural integrity by optimized weight and performance of the airframe component.
- Utilize optimization techniques to enhance structural performance and reduce component weight and cost.
- Ensure design organization check procedures in place and progress monitoring according program requirements to ensure deliverables in time and quality.
