  • Discover our galaxy 🪐

Malt was founded in 2013 and, since then, we have managed to become the fastest growing freelance marketplace in Europe, gathering a community of 700k+freelancers, 70k+ companies, and 700+ Malters.

We’ve built the industry’s leading freelance management solution — all on a powerful, data driven tech platform — to match companies with the right freelance talent.

But we’re more than just a connector. Our marketplace streamlines freelancer-client communications, simplifies administrative and legal tasks, expedites invoicing and payments, and so much more. It’s all about giving both freelancers and companies added peace of mind, so that every experience on Malt is nothing less than (inter)stellar.

Today, our company is growing and we need people like you to help us write this next chapter.

    Tasks

    Explore your future career 🔭

As our HR Business Partner (in parental-leave-replacement), you will find solutions for relevant HR issues, optimize our people processes and act as a trusted advisor and partner for our team and managers on employee and organizational issues. From our Munich or our Berlin office, you will support not only our DACH regional team, but also some of our global organizations.

    That means in particular:

    • You are supporting our leaders in team-related decision-making and ensure compliance with internal HR processes and labor laws.
    • As part of the global HR Business Partnering team, you drive and implement strategic initiatives to improve our HR support throughout the employee life cycle and foster an engaging work environment.
    • You proactively develop ideas and contribute to a variety of projects as part of the global HR Business Partnering team, aiming for ever more effective and user-friendly people practices and an attractive work environment.

    Requirements

    About you 🧑‍🚀

    • You completed a bachelor's degree, preferably with HR-focus, and bring at least 2.5 years of comparable work experience supporting international teams in a fast-paced environment.
    • You have a proven understanding of HR practices and procedures throughout the employee life cycle, of the relevant tools and systems (e.g. BambooHR) as well as a solid understanding of German labor law and good project management skills.
    • You communicate effortlessly in native-level German and English and combine an analytical mindset and attention to detail with pragmatic problem-solving skills and the ability to succeed under pressure.
    • You are a team worker full of positive energy, with a strong sense of personal and professional integrity and the ability to juggle the needs of different stakeholders.
    • As an effective, empathic communicator and natural relationship builder, you enjoy collaborating with a variety of work styles and personalities at all levels of the organization and are available to regularly travel to meet your teams in Germany or abroad.

How to join the mission? 🚀

    • A first call with Chloé Heintz, our Talent Acquisition Manager DACH, serves to better understand your experience and wishes and to provide you with answers to all your initial questions.
    • In a second video call you can discuss the role and find out more about your team and its goals from our current HR Business Partner Viktoria Berger.
    • Third step is a quick case study you can complete at home and will then discuss it – in person during a visit in one of our German offices - with Astrid Siegl, our Director HR for the DACH region and of course clarify any open points.
    • And last but not least, we would round up the process with a video call with our Chief People Officer, Barbara Marazia to ask your final questions and give you an impression of the wider HR Strategy.
