You don't just want to analyze a business – you want to steer it. As Team Lead Pricing & AI (m/f/d), you own pricing and the AI roadmap for our Books & Media Business Unit and brands. You decide how we price what we buy and what we sell – and turn better pricing, smarter systems, and data-driven decisions into sustainable growth and profit.

Your mission

Pricing & business ownership

Own and shape the pricing strategy for buying and selling across momox, medimops, and momoxbooks
Drive gross margin and operating margin – with long-term profit as your north star
Balance pricing decisions with warehouse capacity and inventory quality
Define our price positioning in the buying and selling markets
Design, run and analyze pricing experiments
Model how pricing algorithms affect marketing efficiency and long-term customer behavior
Spot risks and opportunities early and steer them together with BU management – before others have to point them out
Act as sparring partner for BU management on profit-oriented steering

Product ownership – Pricing & AI Engineering

Take on the Product Owner role for our Pricing Engineering and AI Engineering teams
Build the roadmaps with Business, Data Science and Engineering – and prioritize by business impact
Drive topics such as an AI-supported dynamic pricing engine, buying and selling price logic, experimentation frameworks, pricing reporting, and price steering by brand, category and attribute
Identify the AI use cases with the highest value potential – e.g. sellability prediction, buy/no-buy decisions and market price definition
Make sure AI projects deliver measurable results in revenue, profitability, efficiency or customer experience – not research for its own sake
Translate between business and tech: you understand both the commercial impact and the technical feasibility

Leadership & collaboration

Lead your Pricing team functionally and disciplinarily: goals, priorities, coaching, feedback, development and hiring
Build a team culture of ownership, analytical thinking and high execution quality
Work closely with Product, Engineering, AI/Data Science, Marketing, Logistics IT, Finance & Controlling and our Senior Management Team
Bring different interests together and make decisions that serve momox as a whole

Flexible working hours: We follow a hybrid work model with 20 in-office days per quarter to foster important personal interaction while enabling a modern, flexible way of working. The remaining days can be worked from home, and you also have the option to spend up to 6 weeks per year working from countries within EU. You’ll also benefit from flexible working hours to fit your individual needs.
Individual work environment: Design your ergonomic workspace just the way you like it – with height-adjustable desks and the laptop of your choice (MacBook or ThinkPad). If things get a bit noisy in the office, your Bose noise-cancelling headphones ensure uninterrupted focus. If needed, we can also provide you with an ergonomic chair or additional monitors for your home office.
Open work environment: We work together in a bright, open-plan office where even the few existing doors are always open. Our teams are motivated and open to new ideas. Bring your creativity to the table and make things happen! If you need a moment of peace, you can retreat to a cosy corner of the medimops library in the break room, or recharge with a game of foosball, table tennis, or PlayStation.
Training: momox is only as good as you. That's why you will find room and budget for your individual professional development with language classes, internal training, conferences, (online) courses and more.
Company discounts: As a momoxian, you can look forward to a monthly voucher for our momox fashion online shop, as well as medimops. Additionally, you benefit from numerous company discounts from our partners.
Sustainability: We love second-hand and incorporate our sustainable business idea into the office routine with simple methods like using eco-friendly supplies, double-sided printing, energy-saving modes on devices, waste separation, etc. In doing so, we take responsibility and integrate sustainability into all our activities.
Daily fresh fruit and vegetables: We provide fresh fruit, coffee, and Mate at the office, and thrice a week, you can order lunch from an online canteen. At the end of each month, we get together for a themed breakfast in the morning.
Reduced ticket for the public transport: Save real money with the Germany or Job Ticket for the Berlin S-Bahn.
Sport and fitness offers: During the week, you have the opportunity to take part in various sports activities. Whether it's online training, massages, or stretching at your desk – there's something for everyone. You can also get a discounted membership for Urban Sports Club or Wellhub.
