    Your Tasks:

    Financial Reporting and Annual Audit:

    • Prepare and analyze HGB financial statements for group companies, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Produce regular and ad hoc financial reports for management to support strategic decision-making
    • Collaborate closely with external accounting firms to facilitate annual audit requests.
    • Prepare comprehensive working papers to address auditor requests effectively.

    Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely review, verification, and processing of invoices and expense reports.
    • Process invoices using our invoice management and accounting systems, and manage monthly accrual entries.
    • Support the billing and payment team in monitoring outstanding invoices and ensuring timely collections

    General Ledger and Journal Entries:

    • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and adherence to accounting principles
    • Prepare journal entries and conduct monthly reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
    • Consolidate group-level accounts based on HGB, including intercompany account eliminations.
    • Collaborate with Controlling and FP&A teams to ensure consistency and accuracy during monthly hard closes.

    Tax Compliance:

    • Assist in the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations
    • Collaborate with external tax advisors and authorities to address tax-related matters

    Internal Controls and Auditing:

    • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy
    • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed

    Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with teams across the organization, including sales, tech, and operations, to gather financial data and support their initiatives
    • Ensure that intercompany allocation of costs and invoicing of services are booked correctly

    Process Improvement:

    • Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
    • Recommend enhancements to the financial reporting and analysis processes

    Your Profile:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA / CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus
    • Proven experience (3-5 years) working in an accounting role, preferably within an international group context
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., DATEV, Candis, QuickBooks, LucaNet) and Microsoft Excel
    • Strong understanding of German and international accounting standards and regulations
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as a hunger and willingness to learn and develop in finance
    • Advanced English language skills, i.e. either at least B2 / C1 level, German is a plus.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating across diverse teams
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
