For our client, an international and sustainable manufacturer of activated carbon filters and ion exchangers, we are currently looking for a Sales Leader EMEA (all genders). The sales area includes the EMEA region and requires the professional leadership of several interdisciplinary teams.

Tasks
- strategic market development of the EMEA market including partner networks with a technical focus on the ion exchange business unit for relevant industries (including drinking water treatment, process water treatment, food & beverage, etc.)
- motivation and further development for 60 international sales employees and their assigned area managers (technical management responsibility)
- if required, assistance in personal customer meetings within the EMEA region
- sales responsibility for ~ €30m (on the rise - very good growth potential for the future)
- direct reporting line to the Global Commercial Director
- continue to monitor the market and identify relevant trends at an early stage
Requirements
- a relevant technical (academic) degree in chemistry, process engineering or general mechanical engineering or a similar qualification
- at least five years' experience in industrial sales, preferably with strong experience of ion exchangers as a product to be sold.
- alternative: knowledge of industrial water treatment or experience in food & beverage, chemical industry or related sector
- proven experience in technical management of national teams desired (not required)
- know-how and precise understanding of industrial markets and their players
- a strong service mentality - internally and externally
- a very good technical understanding (e.g. understanding the relationships between physical quantities)
- very good social and interpersonal skills as well as a motivating, enthusiastic and stress-resistant personality
- a high level of identification with the product you are selling
- high willingness to learn and speed in your own way of working and acting
- willingness to travel internationally within the EMEA region (60%)
- living in the EMEA region
- fluency in English - other languages an advantage
- good user knowledge of the most common MS Office programmes
