Innovation Engineer (m/w/d)

Tasks

As an Innovation Engineer (m/w/d) based in Germany or Austria, you will depending on your own interests, strengths and past experience focusing on:

• Perform technical exploratory innovation activities (develop a technology prototype with the team, running a Proof-of-Concept in collaboration with our (internal) customers, etc.).
• Design, write, test and document software for use in cutting-edge security products & tools developed in NVISO Labs;
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and methodologies into existing systems.
• Engaging in continuous learning and development to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
• Providing technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members to foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
• Participating in brainstorming sessions and innovation workshops to contribute new ideas and solutions that address current and future cybersecurity challenges.

Requirements

General

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience (Software or Innovation Engineering);
• A Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field;
• Excellent English communications skills, both verbal and written;
• You are eligible for a NATO clearance (see HERE for more information).

Technical Skills

• Understanding of fundamental software & infrastructure design principles;
• Experience with integrating new technologies and methodologies into existing systems;
• Strong testing, troubleshooting and debugging skills;
• Knowledge and experience with one or more programming languages;
• Basic knowledge of secure software design and security best practices.

Soft skills

• Being able to work independently, keep track of your priorities;
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills that enable the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment across the entire company;
• Positive, team and mission-oriented attitude;
• Ability to prepare and present your work to your colleagues;
• Team player who works well under the occasional moments of pressure;
• Familiarity with cross-functional team collaboration and project management.
