Tasks

We are hiring Senior Software Engineers to join our English-speaking product and engineering team. This role can be based at our Zürch HQ (hybrid) or remote. As a Senior Software Engineer at ORCA, you will play a pivotal role in our company’s success, developing a high-performance, robust, and scalable web application to meet the needs of our global customers.

You will work alongside a talented international team of software engineers, product managers and a product designer. This role reports directly to the CTO.

• Leading role in architectural decisions and technology choices for ORCA’s core platform.
• Develop a production-grade SaaS web application using TypeScript, React and Node.js
• Join a cross-functional team with software engineers, product managers and a product designer.
• Participate in the full software development cycle: from reviewing functional specifications and designing architectures to implementing features and delivering solutions.
• Ensure that the software meets high standards for quality, security, and scalability, while continuously delivering business value.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying relevant innovations to the platform.
• Maintain a pragmatic, problem-solving approach to challenges.
• Contribute to the success of ORCA!

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, ideally in a SaaS product company
• Deep understanding of design patterns and system architecture
• Expertise in Node.js and backend frameworks (e.g., Express, NestJS).
• Proficiency in Typescript
• Experience building rich web applications using React, particularly with complex workflows
• Familiarity with continuous integration, processes automation, and testing tools
• Experience working with a cross-functional, agile team of software engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Working proficiency in English
